Do creatures enter the battlefield?

The only time a creature will enter the battlefield tapped is if the creature card explicitly states that it needs to enter tapped or if another card effect makes it enter tapped. Creatures enter the battlefield with “summoning sickness” which means they cant attack on thier first turn unless they have haste.

A target is a chosen recipient of the effects of a spell or ability. A spell can require you to target a creature, for instance. The text mentioning the target will usually say what sort of thing may be targeted.
